Introduction

The primary aim of the Baku Bears Rangers Supporters Club was to promote the Name of Glasgow Rangers within the country of Azerbaijan. In doing so, over the last five years we have also managed to forge many strong links within the local community.
As a supporters club we have undertook the task of not only, sponsorship of local youth teams, (Baku Rangers) but other projects which we believe to be quite unique for a supporters club.
We as a club, with the assistance and sponsorship of Baku based oil related companies, managed to provide the youth of Baku with a modern training facility (Baku Ibrox). A stadium that many professional teams would be proud of.
We are also proud of the fact that we the Baku Bears, were privileged to send 2 Azerbaijan youths to the Rangers Soccer School in 2007. A major achievement and a memorable journey for 2 lads that had never been outside of Baku, let alone Azerbaijan.
With the assistance of Azerbaijan Government funding we have also been privileged to assist in the project management and refurbishment of a New Baku Ibrox 2. This project is now nearing completion. The buildings are approximately 90% complete. With the artificial playing surface installation ongoing .
The club have donated gymnasium, office and entertainment equipment. Which has now been installed at the facilities.
Future plans to bring Rangers Soccer School coaches to Azerbaijan in 2009 are already in progress with RFC Soccer Schools official David Stewart. Our aim here is to surpass our 2007 achievement of 2 local youths gaining access to professional football training. This year we are looking to achieve in this dream event to become a reality for 100 local youths and 20 local youth coaches.
Through our membership subscriptions and fund raising we are able to provide football kits, and various other sporting goods for the clubs.
We now need YOUR help to raise the required funds to provide the youth of Baku with a magnificent learning experience, by qualified coaches, experienced in the development of professional youth players.

Your sponsorship can make the difference.

   Thank you, Hugh Cochrane
